11/10/2023 0 Comments How to set up ds4windowsYou for sure get a feeling of more responsiveness with certain settings, but you will lose accuracy. Was I playing badly because it was off? Or was I having a fine day playing? Results are all over the place. I sometimes have to reboot it or my whole PC to get it to work. Because windows and the game are controlling my inputs instead. Sometimes I think it’s turned on but it isn’t. What I’ve noticed in years with playing around with it: My playing doesn’t seem to benefit nor really suffer with it. Like I can peak rank with it, or without it. I can for sure tell a difference when I’m using it BUT.I feel like it almost doesn’t matter sometimes. I had stopped using it for a while, but then went back to it for like 3-4 months, and then recently stopped using it again. Is there something that can offer me that? I’d love to find and point where it’s uncontrollable, and then work backwards by slowing it down. I get instant response and the response is powerful. It feels way better than the linear or enhanced precision or quadratic presets etc. There’s 4 categories for the numbers to be used. Probably some people thing I’m nuts.īut I don’t fully understand the beside curve and what values do what. I’ve been messing around with that and it feels so good with a high amount of 0’s lol. Last night I found out that you can use the ex+ command to get exponential 0’s added to those lines. So I used DS4 windows custom bezier curve editor. I have my in game sensitivities maxed out and I still want more. I need highest sensitivity possible for me to be able to do what I see other players do. But I promise you it’s a real game changer. I had stopped using Ds4windows for a while because people kept telling me it’s a waste of time. I’ve fooled around so much with the overclock that I’m very familiar how he game should feel with the OC on.īut even with the OC on, when I use the typical in game sensitivities that all the famous streamers and all the pros use, I’m am inaccurate, I am slow. But with the typical overclock I can get my DS5 to read over 1200hz on that website that tests it. By default the rate is something like 200-250hz. I’ve done a lot of research with the polling rate stuff. Unfortunately I read this once somewhere and don't know how to find this information again to confirm it. I think in the special mode the controller's polling rate (how many times it sends its Input State) is faster, meaning you'd had greater "sensibility" than using the normal way of reading it. The special mode is used by DS4Windows, Steam if the "Playstation Configuration Support" is enabled on Steam's controller settings and some few games. True full support involves changing the controller into a special mode where the controller starts communicating differently to the PC. I'm not sure if I'm misremembering, but I think Rocket League does not have "true full support" to the DS4 controller. When the app is running, and my custom profile is loaded up, I can do things with the ball I'd never be able to do otherwise If someone says they can perceive this in any shape or form then that person is lying. Is there really any added input lag from running the app or is that largely to be an ignored statementįrom some tests it was confirmed DS4Windows adds 0,05ms of Input Lag. I can for real tell the difference between 1.00 and something like 5000.00 Can that number go to infinity or is there a limit and its just not telling me. How high can those numbers go? Where I gave the 1.00 examples, in my editor I can put those up to 1,000,000 and it still allows the app to run with no errors. But you can input custom numbers like 0.00, 1.00, 0.00, 1.00 for the X/Y axes. I'm almost convinced that all high level players are using this trick and just keeping it a huge secret TBH.īiggest question: In the profile editor there is the output curve section where you can choose things like "Linear or Enhanced Precision" etc. When the app is running, and my custom profile is loaded up, I can do things with the ball I'd never be able to do otherwise. Also my aim is off and my power on the ball is low. At low sensitivity I just bang the ball around and can't get micro touches. Im finding the HIGHER sensitivity I use, the more I can do the complicated moves that higher level players do. Is there really any added input lag from running the app or is that largely to be an ignored statement. Then I turn it back on and feel like a god for a while. And then I proceed to de-rank and get frustrated with the game for a long time. Every couple of months someone on Discord or Reddit will convince me to turn it off and I do.
